MISSION STATEMENT
Los Descendientes del Presidio de Tucsón is dedicated to the preservation of the history and culture of Tucson and extending to the entire Pimeria Alta region.
The Pimeria Alta region was defined by a jesuit priest Father Eusebio Francisco Kino, S.J., to include what today is known as most of Pima, Cochise and Santa Cruz counties in Arizona and the state of Sonora, Mexico.
Some of our members are descendants from the Spanish Colonial period, Mexican period, Territorial period and many are self adopted Arizonans who are interested in preserving our southwestern history and culture.
Membership is open to all interested persons who wish to participate in furthering the goals of this organization.
